- Journal entries and dictation content. When you record or dictate entries, the App captures audio and transcribes it into text. This content is stored so you can read, edit, and organize your journal.
- AI processing data. When you use AI cleanup or rewrite features, your text may be securely sent to our AI service provider to generate the requested output. We do not sell this text to third parties.
- Device and analytics data. We may collect basic technical information such as device model, operating system version, app version, and non‑identifying usage analytics to help us understand how the App is used and improve it.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the App and its features.
- Save and present your journal entries and dictations back to you.
- Offer AI cleanup, rewrite, and formatting features at your request.
- Respond to support requests and communicate about the App.
- Monitor performance, detect issues, and keep the App secure.
3. AI Services
When you choose to use AI features (such as text cleanup or rewriting), your text is processed by third‑party AI providers under contract with us. These providers use the content solely to generate the requested output or to maintain the reliability and safety of their services, and not for advertising or selling your data.
4. Data Storage and Retention
- Journal entries and dictations are stored so that you can access, edit, and export them. You may delete entries within the App, and they will be removed from our primary storage.
- We retain basic diagnostic logs and analytics data for a limited time to monitor performance and troubleshoot issues.
5. Third‑Party Services & Ads
The App may use third‑party services such as analytics providers and advertising networks (like Google AdMob). These services may collect anonymized or pseudonymous data about how you interact with the App, including basic device information.
Where required, we will present consent dialogs or allow you to adjust your ad‑related preferences from within the App.
6. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age specified by your local law (for example, 13 or 16), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.
